This notice announces revisions to the FAA's policy on preflight availability prediction requirements for aircraft with ADS-B Out equipment using the Selective Availability (SA)-Aware receivers in ADS-B rule airspace.
Exemption 12555 The application deadline for Exemption 12555 has passed. The FAA granted Exemption 12555 with a strict, limited timeframe in which operators must equip with new navigation receivers.
New! The FAA’s revised policy on preflight availability prediction requirements for aircraft with ADS-B using SA-Aware receivers (see above) does not cancel or modify Exemption 12555. However, exemption holders may wish to revise their submitted equipage plans to reflect any changes affected by the policy contained in that notice. See more information here.
